REFLECTION TIME! Just wrapped up this bit of traveling that’s been basically going on since new year’s (with a week-ish at home sprinkled in there) and wanted to do some overall reflection (hehe get it also cause all the pictures in this set of slides are fun reflections!)
To start I’ll just throw some fun stats I have collected out there (there’s a joke about numbers and doing a math degree or something)
Total days away from home (including Colorado and New Zealand in January + my extended traveling starting Feb 10th) : 112 🚗 🚊 ✈️
Hours on planes: ~82 hours ⏰
Miles flown: ~42,000 🌎
Days on the snow this season: 63
(11 backcountry splitboarding / 52 resort snowboarding) 🏔️🏂
Yoga classes attended: 36 🧘♂️
Bakery visits: ~30 🥐🥖
Days of brutal jet lag: ~7 🤕
Days of being a lil lonely: a bunch 😧
Lost items: 5 - (water bottle, small backpack, mint chocolate clif bar, almond fudge clif bar, and a pair of running gloves) 😞
Days of being absolutely stoked about snowboarding or cool stuff in nature or good food: lots! 😄🤙

Also, gotta add a quick disclaimer I’m crazy lucky and privileged to have been able to do this - shoutout to my parents, scholarships, and software internship money for helping me pay for college expenses and software internship money for funding all my travels 💵 💻
Solo travel gives you so much flexibility to do what you want, where you want, when you want. However, it also brings the drawbacks of loneliness that sets in and doesn’t have the same shared stoke about the things you’re experiencing that you get when traveling with other people!
All that being said, it’s been an awesome experience overall and I’ve done so much cool stuff!
Finally, thanks to anyone who kept up with me whether through texts, calls, comments, and story reactions. Y’all kept me (mostly) sane when I was traveling solo and I hadn’t had anything other than transient interactions with people in a while. Much love to all my friends ❤️
I’m excited to stop by college park for graduation! After that, stay tuned for some more potential travels over the summer☀️
