Some sights n views from my time in Japan so far. Just 2 days left here before heading off to Seoul for the weekend!
Definitely has been a change of pace from snowboarding in Canada but has been a really cool experience overall.
Pics start and end with Mt Fuji because it’s a pretty fricken rad stratovolcano. It’s the highest peak in Japan and is extremely prominent, rising high above any surrounding mountains.
Besides that, we’ve got a great collection of shrines, parks, and city views.
1/10 - Fuji in clear conditions midday
2/10 - Senso-ji shrine in Tokyo
3/10 - Fushimi Inari shrine Tori gates in Kyoto
4/10 - Preserved ruins of a building that was destroyed in the blast from the atomic bomb detonated over Hiroshima in WWII. Hiroshima was definitely worth a visit and it’s sobering to think about the damage one bomb did.
5/10 - garden in Hiroshima
6/10 - street in Asakusa in Tokyo
7/10 - view of part of Tokyo from 45 stories up (this city is absolutely massive)
8/10 - down in the trees in the park shown in the previous image, was cool because there’s like old growth trees in middle of city.
9/10 - video from Shinjuku Gyoen Garden in Tokyo
10/10 - sunset Fuji over Lake Ashi
